Blues Box

I had been reading my Guitar Heroes Book on some of the famous Black Blues Players that I used to listen to and play along with. Using these records I gradually was learning how to play. I wanted to make a guitar that would represent what a Father might try to make for his son so he could play a guitar because his son didn’t have any money. I had a Madrigal guitar body and a Godin neck and put the two together. I cut a cutaway on the right side of the neck into the Madrigal guitar body. It worked and I just started putting things on the body of the guitar and putting pictures under the plexiglass top of the guitar. I started to think it looked ridiculous. I was driving a young colleague to work with me. His name was Tee -- a fine young man. We both worked at a seniors home. It was Tee who convinced me that the guitar is just very cool and meaningful. We added two pictures of greats gone too young accidentally. Terry Kath and Stevie Ray Vaughan wouldn't they have made a pair! The Guitar plays and sounds great and is just great. I am grateful to Tee for making it happen.
